Hundreds of UCLA volunteers from the second annual WOMP! — Westwood Organized Mega-Project — descend on Westwood Village this Sunday, April 17, to beautify, plantify and paintify the neighborhood. Bruins will work alongside Westwood merchants on projects such as planting trees, painting murals, restoring the ceramic tile benches and planters, painting bike racks and trash cans, and repairing the Village Map and Directory. This year’s WOMP, sponsored by the UCLA Volunteer Center and the Westwood Community Council, follows two succesful projects last year. The Volunteer Center is still accepting staff, faculty and student volunteers through online sign-ups.
