
The UCLA Volunteer Center is excited to bring back our Holiday Donation Drive: Winter Wishlist! Winter Wishlist will be a donation drive from November 3 - Dec 2 to collect in-kind donations for unhoused residents of Los Angeles during the holiday season. This year, we have partnered with Depaul USA Casa Milagrosa. Through this event, our hope is to help deliver a wonderful holiday experience for the folks that Casa Milagrosa serves.
There will be two ways to get involved with the Winter Wishlist Program.
1. One way will be via donation boxes that will be placed at multiple locations across the UCLA Campus. Please see below for a list of locations where donation boxes will be placed.In these boxes, we will collect donated gifts that will go directly to Casa Milagrosa to maintain their center. At the end of the drive, we will deliver all donated items directly to Casa Milagrosa. The drive is launching at the UCLA First Thursdays Bruins Give Back on November 3 in Westwood Village. Donation boxes will also be placed across the UCLA Campus the following week for the duration of the drive.

2. Folks who are interested in supporting the Winter Wishlist program but are unable to obtain the items listed above are encouraged to donate directly to Depaul USA Casa Milagrosa. All donations will go directly to maintaining the center and the services that they provide. Please make sure to note that you are participating in the UCLA Volunteer Center’s Winter Wishlist Program.

History of Winter Wishlist
The UCLA Volunteer Center's first ever Holiday Donation Drive, Winter Wishlist, was a donation drive from November 8 - Dec 3 2021 to collect gift donations for children during the holiday season. We partnered with Aviva Family and Children’s Services for their Annual Holiday Gift Drive. Through this event, our goal was to help deliver a wonderful holiday experience for the families and children that Aviva serves.
Donation boxes were placed at multiple locations across the UCLA Campus. In these boxes, we collected donated gifts that went directly to children for the upcoming holiday season. At the end of the drive, we delivered all donated items directly to Aviva. For more information on our past partner Aviva Family and Children's Services, please check out their website linked below.

Aviva believes every child and every family in our Los Angeles community deserves the chance for a brighter future. They provide compassionate support, therapeutic services, and guidance to at-risk children and families. Main program focus areas include: Crisis Intervention; Mental Health Services; Foster and Adoption; Supportive Housing for Women and Children

We also partnered with the Bruin Resource Center (https://brc.ucla.edu) Student With Dependent's program to promote Little Bruin Wishes (LBW), an annual campaign hosted by the Bruin Resource Center's Students with Dependents program that grants the holiday wishes of thousands of UCLA families. The LBW program allows the UCLA community to support our parenting students and their families who may otherwise struggle to fulfill their children's holiday wishlists.
