Westwood Greenway Inc.

The Westwood Greenway is a city owned open space that includes a bioswale to treat urban runoff and native plants to support biodiversity. Following a tour of the space (¼ mile long, level walking surface), volunteers are invited to assist in stewardship tasks at all levels. Tasks could include trimming overhanging shrubs, pulling invasive weeds, deadheading, picking up litter, and putting green waste into city bins. They will provide gloves, tools, and directions for maintenance as needed.

(Please be aware that the time listed is for the actual service project. If you are taking the bus to the project site, we will ask volunteers to meet at a central location from 7:30am - 7:45am for breakfast and to account for travel time to the project site.)
