Westwood Greenway Inc.

The Westwood Greenway is a city owned open space that includes a bioswale to treat urban runoff and native plants to support biodiversity. The space also cleans water while providing a sanctuary for native habitat for birds, butterflies, and other animals next to one of the nation’s busiest light rail lines. Following a tour of the space (¼ mile long, level walking surface), volunteers are invited to assist in stewardship tasks at all levels. Tasks could include trimming overhanging shrubs, pulling invasive weeds, and caring for the natural habitat.
