Youth Education Tutoring at East LA Community Corporation

Even one hour a week can help make our students STARS!

East LA Community Corporation is looking for friendly and engaging Youth Education volunteers to assist 1st-6th grade students in our ELACC STARS program with homework help, learning to read, and general tutoring.

This is a great opportunity for high school and college students, working professionals, full-time parents, and retirees who are interested in working with youth and helping lead them on a road to brighter education. No previous tutoring experience necessary.
The ELACC STARS program runs Mon-Friday, 4-7pm

SKILLS:
-Provide homework and general youth education assistance to students in 1st-6th grade.
-Ability to work with diverse community
-Bilingual a plus

REQUIRED:
-Volunteers must at least 15 years of age.
-High diploma, GED, or good academic standing if still in high school (at least a 3.0 GPA)
-Selected volunteers must commit to at least 1 hour a week for a complete semester.
