The Westwood Village Farmers’ Market is a Certified Farmers’ Market with a “farmer first’ philosophy. Thursdays from 12-5pm, the market brings together sustainable California farms, local artisans, musicians and community members. The market has a sister nonprofit, Sprouts of Promise. Sprouts of Promise is a 501(c)(3) that educates children and families on the importance of fresh fruits and vegetables and gives food-insecure individuals access to locally grown produce.

Our internships and volunteer opportunities are as follows:

Attend local community/university events to promote the programs of Sprouts of Promise and the Westwood Village Farmers’ Market. Speak publicly, post flyers, recruit volunteers, network with similar food-focused organizations. This internship culminates with the planning and execution of one unique in-market event. Minimum of 2 community events per month (6 month commitment). Work days and times will vary depending on event and task.

Your photos will be used to promote Sprouts of Promise’s programs on our website, social media platforms and on marketing displays. Prefer a minimum commitment of 2 shifts per month for six months, but will consider alternative schedules.
