Connect Days are community events that bring service providers, community partners, governmental agencies, and dedicated volunteers together so that individuals experiencing homelessness can be connected to an array of services simultaneously. At our Westwood Connect Day, there will be housing resources, legal assistance, medical services, hygiene kits, showers, haircuts, new clothes, and everyone will be provided both breakfast and lunch.
We are looking for volunteers to help with:
-Setting up the event
-Organizing and handing out donations
-Assisting our guests navigating through our providers and services
-Working the check-in table, big/bag check and volunteer table
-Handing out hygiene kits
We will also be accepting donations of clothing, hygiene products, and miscellaneous items such as blankets, towels, school supplies, luggage, and reusable bags.
All Volunteers MUST sign up. If interested, please contact LA County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl’s Field Deputy, Erin Schneider at email@example.com. Thank you.
Volunteers will be expected to show up by 9am.
