Polling Station Volunteers
Los Angeles can be made better if all Angelenos are encouraged to use the power of their civic voice to create change in their community. However, we know that voter participation as a measure of civic engagement has hit historic lows in LA, and the voter population is not representative of the diversity of the region.
L.A. Works is collaborating with the office of the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/Clerk to help change that. We are piloting a project at 5 polling stations to turn the volunteer service into a great experience for the polling station volunteers — who will then help transform the voting experience into a fun and enjoyable one for our community.
We’re seeking volunteers to support the polling stations for the California Primary Elections on June 7, 2016. These volunteers will play an important role in our country’s democratic process by helping community members perform their civic duty!
If you’re interested in being at the front lines of democracy check out our available locations and opportunities below:
If you would like to volunteer in a different capacity, please e-mail email@example.com for more information on additional volunteer opportunities.
Time Commitment: In addition to the election day project, Volunteer Poll Workers will be required to attend one in person training at L.A. Works!
ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST ATTEND TRAINING!
LA works is having a training on May 14th, click here to view details. If you cannot attend this meeting then please sign up for a county training session here (but it wont be as fun nor have free food).
