Angels Gate Cultural Center is looking for volunteers interested in working continuously throughout the year for our ongoing events, projects and community programs.
r We are looking for volunteers interested in:
r In addition to our gallery openings, AGCC host two major public events annually that need a large amount of volunteers for event preparation and on the day-of. If you cannot commit to a year round volunteership, become part of the AGCC team for one day! Our Open Studios Day event is on May 12th and we are looking for talented volunteers interesting in working with this community focused event!
r Gallery Docents:
r Gallery docents assist the staff during opening receptions for gallery exhibitions by greeting guests, monitoring the artwork on display and answering questions about the artists involved in the show. Gallery docents also collect basic demographic information about the guests present at the event
r Hospitality program volunteers are available during special events, performances and opening receptions for gallery exhibitions at Angels Gate Cultural Center. Hospitality program volunteers assist with the set up and clean up of all refreshments and decorations.
r Database Management:
r Database volunteers help keep our database of artist, donor and volunteer information up to date and organized. Computer skills are a must! Database management is done in the Angels Gate Cultural Center main office together with the Director of Development and the Program Administrator.
r The Angels Gate Cultural Center staff can always use an extra hand around the office to help us answer phones, maintain bulletin boards on-site, do some filing and other clerical work.
r Landscaping volunteers assist with the beautification of Angels Gate Cultural Center’s facilities and grounds. Weeding and seeding sessions are scheduled seasonally to maintain the plant life around AGCC. Large-scale community service projects are also available – great for youth groups such as Boy/Girl Scouts!
r Join the Angels Gate Cultural Center “mailing parties” in the office and help us send promotional materials to the community about our upcoming events, as well as information about our annual fundraising campaigns.
