The Mar Vista Family Center is a non-profit organization that provides low income families with quality early childhood education, youth enrichment, and educational tools to allow them to create a positive change in their lives and their community. Majority of the programs that take place at the Mar Vista Family Center are created and ran by volunteers that have showed interest in working with us. Activities range from community, education, and sports. Community activities are centered on the restoration and empowering the community’s voice through community leadership. The Education programs are focused on aiding students of all ages in academics as well in personal growth. Tutoring sessions take place Monday through Friday from 4pm-7pm, College prep is also available to all middle school and high school students. The programs created and ran by volunteers consist of capoeira, chess, ballet folklorico, and soccer. All of our programs are opened to anyone who has interest in volunteering.
