Volunteers are the heart and soul of CicLAvia. These volunteers help us out in our efforts to ensure all attendees know about activities along the route. Volunteers are our extra eyes and ears along the route to ensure attendees are following traffic direction and yielding to walking participants. Volunteers can assist at the event by doing any of the following:
r Hub Angel: Handing out maps and informational handouts at one the hubs along the route. These volunteers will also assist to distribute and conduct surveys to attendees on an on-going study of CicLAvia. Most volunteers will be stationed at the hub.
r Crossing Angel: These volunteers will aid our walking participants to cross the route safely at designated crossing points along the route. These volunteers are stationed at a designated crossing point along the route.
r Group Angels: Groups of 6 volunteers or more qualify for our Adopt-an-Intersection program where they can assist as Crossing Angels at a designated crossing point. The program allows groups to have a presences and volunteer partnership with CicLAvia. Groups that can volunteer the whole day are allowed to have a booth at the event and can distribute information about their group.
