Volunteer Mentor for Middle School Students

July 31st, 2012

As a mentor, you’ll host a middle school student who dreams of working in your profession. You’ll meet at your workplace or school once a week for 8-10 weeks. In that time, you’ll teach them about what you do, inspire their curiosity, and help them fulfill their dreams. You will be able to do all of this while simultaneously developing leadership qualities that will be translatable to any career or field.

Passion and commitment are required; experience is not. We train you, and our experienced staff is available to support you every step of the way. If you’d like to become a Spark mentor or want to learn more, please fill out a volunteer application.

Our overall mission is to provide students with rich apprenticeship experiences that will provide them with the inspiration and social capital to propel them to and through high school.
