Mulholland Middle School serves students grades 6-8 and is named after William Mulholland, former head of a predecessor department to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. The school is home to The Mulholland’s Junior Police Academy, the nation’s first middle school program, providing a rigorous academic program centered on law enforcement and law enforcement related careers. The Police Academy Magnet Program encourages all students to be successful through their secondary and post-secondary careers, through a rigorous academic program with an emphasis on discipline and study skills.
On October 24, UCLA volunteers will finish painting projects that were started on UCLA Volunteer Day, including wainscoting, painting the basketball courts, and completing murals around the school grounds.
