My name is Luis Oregel and I am a committee member on the Registration and Accounting committee for the 2010-2011 Relay For Life event. Relay For Life (RFL) is an event that is put on by the Colleges Against Cancer (CAC) club here at UCLA. Relay for Life is a 24-hour fundraising event put on by the American Cancer Society that helps celebrate cancer survivors and raise money for cancer research. Last year, we had over 100 teams participate in RFL and raised over $145,000 at UCLA.
In order to guarantee the success of this year’s RFL event, which will take place April 30th – May 1st at Drake Stadium, we need as many volunteers as we can get. Volunteers will able to help set up for the event and help RFL committees such as Entertainment, Logistics, and Registration/Accounting. We can sign off for any one that needs to complete a certain number of community service hours. If you are interested, please e-mail me back and I can give you more information about volunteering.
