Location: 10630 Santa Monica Blvd. Los Angeles California 90025
Duration: Single Day
Date: Jun 3, 2018 • 8AM - 4PM
On June 3rd, the UCLA CORE Kidney Program will be holding our premier event of the year, the UCLA Kidney Health Fair at the Santa Monica Beach. Last year, we had 1,500 attendees and received great feedback. By popular request we are bringing back our Kidney Health Fair this June and hope that you will join us to make it even better!
This will be a festive occasion for education and entertainment. We will be education patients, family, friends, and the general public on a variety of topics on kidney disease including, but not limited to: high blood pressure, transplant, diabetes, PKD, Alport Syndrome, Fabry’s Disease, anemia, dialysis and much more. We will also be holding a 1K walk or 3K runalong the beach as exercise and a healthy diet can help control high blood pressure and diabetes. We will also host a KIDney zone filled with fund activities. We strive to spread awareness, promotion and research of kidney disease, education and outreach. In addition, the June 3rd event is also used to fund raise for future events such as educational health fairs and resources for those who have kidney disease or want to learn more about them.
We are looking for volunteers to assist with all aspects of the event, including but not limited too: set up, registration, selling raffle tickets, assisting with the KIDney Zone, 1K/3K point people, assisting with handing out raffle prizes, and clean up.
Time Details
We are looking for volunteers who are available from 8am to 12 pm, 12 pm to 4 pm or 8am to 4 pm (preferred). The event is located at Santa Monica Beach Park #1(Ocean Park Blvd. and Barnard Way)
