Students are behind in their basic skills for various life reasons: home life, bullies, stereotypes that push them down. It becomes frustrating when they get behind in their work with no one to assist them with their homework or encourage them to do better. With a commitment of as little as 2 hours a week you can make a difference in a youth’s life through the rewarding HOSTS one-on-one Academic Mentoring program at Bresee Foundation.
As a mentor, you will be paired with a student who is behind grade level in either English or Math and will take your mentee through lesson plans planned by our coordinator to address their areas of difficulty. Great for students and those with busy schedules.
