Are you interested in learning how to translate what you know about the creativity and the expressiveness of the body to impact positive change in people’s lives?
Do you want to learn how to utilize dance improvisation to build community, nurture leaders and embody people?
Join Turning the Wheel for a week of immersive learning and see if our certification program is right for you. Over the course of our week at Alonzo CDS we will be creating a improvisational dance performance. The week culminates in an introductory training in “The Body Now”, A Holistic Journey for Personal Expansion and Community Transformation.

The Body Now will offer you tools to move with all ages and abilities as a means to teach, connect and collaborate based on participant’s stories. The Body Now is a mentor based, movement improvisation workshop that enhance and enliven your personal movement practice
Join Alana Shaw and her team of Body Now Facilitators for this half day workshop.
Alana is an inspiring and empowering guide and Founder of the national non profit dance/theater company, Turning the Wheel, serving thousands of youth and their mentors across the US and in Canada for over 25 years.
Live musical accompaniment with multi instrumentalist Perry Smith.
