Teach Financial Literacy to youth!

April 16th, 2013

Location: 707 Wilshire Boulevard Los Angeles CA 90017
Duration: Ongoing
First Day : Apr 16, 2013

Our mission with Banking on Our Future is simple: equip young people with the necessary financial tools, resources, and knowledge today and they will make sound financial decisions tomorrow. With as many as 70 million people who are unbanked today in this country, Banking on Our Future gives all of us a chance to break a chronic cycle of poverty and ignorance so that everyone can have the chance to know better, so that they may do better. The BOOF program targets grades 4 thru 12 and addresses the basics of banking, checking, savings, credit and investments in (4) four, 1-hour sessions. Banking on Our Future program staff train new volunteers and work to ensure all your questions are answered and you are 100% ready to successfully prepare and deliver our materials in the classroom. BOOF staff works with each volunteer to find you just the right classroom. And of course, we coordinate every detail of the program including classroom dates, directions to the school site, and anything else you may need. Operation HOPE does the hard work so that Banking on Our Future can be a fun and rewarding volunteer experience for you! Volunteers must be trained. Volunteer training’s can be found at this link:
