Teach a skill for life. Help a child learn to read

October 20th, 2014

Location: Los Angeles, Pasadena, Lawndale
Duration: Ongoing
First Day : Oct 20, 2014

Reading Partners empowers volunteers to become leaders in the community by helping struggling elementary school student readers succeed. Each week, you will meet one-on-one with your student to help him or her develop strong literacy skills and discover a passion for reading.
r
r Over the past decade, volunteer reading partners have helped students become confident readers by using the Reading Partners curriculum. Our volunteers make a huge impact on the lives of their students. By sharing their passion and knowledge, volunteers become tutors, mentors and friends. Becoming a reading partner is a fun, powerful way to help a student succeed in their education and life. No prior experience is necessary to make a difference!
