Reading Partners empowers volunteers to become leaders in the community by helping struggling elementary school student readers succeed. Each week, you will meet one-on-one with your student to help him or her develop strong literacy skills and discover a passion for reading.
r Over the past decade, volunteer reading partners have helped students become confident readers by using the Reading Partners curriculum. Our volunteers make a huge impact on the lives of their students. By sharing their passion and knowledge, volunteers become tutors, mentors and friends. Becoming a reading partner is a fun, powerful way to help a student succeed in their education and life. No prior experience is necessary to make a difference!
r How to Apply:
r Anybody 14 years and older can tutor – no prior experience necessary.
r Time Commitment:
r • Duration: 3 months or longer
r • Time Commitment: Occasional (weekly or monthly)
r • Times of day: Mornings, Afternoons
r • Days of week: Weekdays
r • Schedule: Fixed
r • Specific Start/End Dates: Minimum commitment of 3 months; substitute volunteer tutor positions available

Time Details

Pick any 1-hour time slot that\'s convenient for you between 9am and 5pm, Monday through Thursday (you are welcome to help more if able).
