Sport Chalet Magic Mountain Man Run and Triathlon

August 16th, 2011

Come out and help your community, support the Challenged Athletes Foundation, get community service hours, and spend a day or two in a high energy very fun filled environment with athletes, family members, supporters, and volunteers at the Sports Chalet Magic Mountain Man.

Renegade Racing is producing this multi-day event kicking it off with 5k and 10 runs on Saturday, October, 8, 2011 and pushing athletes to their limits with both an Olympic and long distance triathlon on Sunday, October, 9, 2011. We are reaching out to schools and groups who might be interested in volunteering for the event on race days (10/8 and 10/9), as well as for the Registration & Packet Pick-up on Friday 10/7. Visit for more info.

The Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) is a world leader in helping individuals with physical challenges get involved – and stay involved – in sports. CAF believes that participation in sports at any level increases self-esteem, encourages independence and enhances quality of life. Since 1994, more than $30 million has been raised and almost 5,000 funding requests from challenged athletes in all 50 states and dozens of countries have been satisfied. Additionally, CAF’s outreach efforts reach another 60,000 individuals each year. Whether it’s a $2,500 grant for a handcycle, helping underwrite a carbon fiber running foot not covered by insurance, or arranging enthusiastic encouragement from a mentor who has triumphed over a similar challenge, CAF’s mission is clear: give those with the desire to live active, athletic lifestyles every opportunity to compete in the sports they love.
If your school or organization is interested in volunteering for this event please fill out the volunteer registration form and fax (949)975-1814 or email ( it back to me. Please feel free to share this information with friends, family, and co-workers. Every volunteer makes a difference.
