Seeking Guest Speakers for easy, interesting presentations at our programs!

March 9th, 2016

Duration: Multiple Days
First Day : Mar 9, 2016
Last Day: Jun 1, 2016

Our 4 South Bay programs are seeking engaging, knowledgeable and friendly guest speakers to give a brief presentation for our students! We are looking for ways to better integrate our students with the community and what better way than to invite community members and share their life and talents!

We are seeking speakers for the following:

Theatre/ Drama – Anyone in the field of theatre. This semester we have a theatre production and musical theatre class working together to create a play so it would be great to have someone come in and talk about it more in depth.

Fireman/Police Officer – Our Hawthorne programs want a fireman or officer to talk about safety and the city of Hawthorne.

LA Artist – A lot of our classes this semester are focusing on the LA art scene so having someone come in and possibly lead a workshop with them or show off their art for the students to interpret.

Graphic Designer – We have a graphic design class, it would be great to have someone that specializes with type or something like that

Dancers – We like to celebrate a holiday each month, so we would love dancers that reflect the holiday! For March, we are seeking Irish musicians and/or dancers who can perform for our students and talk about the history and culture of St. Patty’s!

California History – Share your knowledge of Californian history with our students!

PowerPoint presentations using lots of imagery and visuals are most effective for our students!

We are really flexible and will work with your schedule! Hope you can join us!
