Belmont Village Westwood is seeking 10 art students to volunteer for a 3 week art project to work alongside a Parkinson disease patient or patients to paint a watercolor masterpiece that depicts the struggles, emotions and hope for what they are going through since being diagnosed.
Purpose: To bring UCLA Art Students in to collaborate on a theme, create and partner with a Parkinson’s patient. Each student will need to commit to meeting once a week for 1 ½ hours each session for 3 consecutive weeks starting early October. They must be available for a post-reception where the paintings will be added to a silent auction where consumers can purchase the painting and all proceeds raised will be donated to Parkinson’s Community Los Angeles. Each student will explain the concept, idea and reason why they created their work of art. Each student will have a group of painters depending on how many signs we have.
