r Volunteers will help set up in the morning (7:30AM) before the event and help with registration. Volunteers will also greet VIP’s and direct them to their designated place.
r We will need volunteers from 7:30 AM-6:00PM. If you are not able to be there the entire day, we have shifts available as well. We will be located on campus at the UCLA Robin & Albert Carnesale Commons located near Sproul on the hill.
r Once we have set up, volunteers will be allowed to attend the event and observe invited experts and leaders deliberate. Volunteers are also welcome to the lunch and wine reception at the end of the event.
r If you are interested or have any questions please email Christian Zarate at firstname.lastname@example.org
r WORKSHOP DETAILS:
r The “SB 535 Workshop: Investment Justice through the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund” is an all-day workshop hosted by the UCLA Luskin Center for Innovation, which will convene leaders from across the state to support the development of an analytical and equitable approach to the implementation of SB 535.
r The primary focus is on making smart and equitable investments in disadvantaged communities. Secondarily, the workshop could inform other funds that target disadvantaged communities. While not the focus, some of our recommendations will certainly have relevance for how the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund moneys are spent outside of disadvantaged communities, by identifying effective programs that meet key criteria.
(Different shifts available if you are not able to be there for the entire event)
