Daniela Checa, is a 19 year old Colombian. She was diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia & Myelodysplastic Syndrome (a type of pre-leukemia). She loves biology and mathematics, but in order for Daniela to continue her studies and regular life as a 19 year old she must find someone who is a match to her for a bone marrow transplant.

r Did you know that out of the 10.5 million registered donors, less than 10% are Hispanic or Latino? This is why Daniela and many other Hispanic patients need your help! There is greater probability for patients to find a match within their own ethnicity. Please, consider registering yourself with Be The Match and you could potentially help save Daniela’s life!
