Jordan High School is located in the Watts area and is currently undergoing new changes to its campus. The campus is now divided into two schools ran by Green Dot Public Schools and the other by Mayor Villaraigosa’s Partnership for Los Angeles Schools. The mission of Jordan High is to provide a rigorous academic environment by downsizing the class room size, while maintaining opportunities for students of both schools through extra-curricular activities. Meanwhile, as UCLA student-volunteers, it is our objective to provide service that will visually comply with this mission. We not only wish to serve Jordan aesthetically but also as examples to students in the importance of volunteering in the Los Angeles community.
