Hands for Hope LA is a non-profit, free after-school program located in North Hollywood. We are dedicated to broadening horizons, developing talents, promoting self-esteem and instilling life preparation skills by extending a hands of hope to low-income, minority and single-parent families. Our primary mission is to provide a free, safe, pro-social, and academically enriching environment for children who would otherwise be left unattended, unsupervised, and vulnerable in the after school hours. www.hands4hopela.org
We are currently recruiting college students who are interested in community service to volunteer with our organization. With both a youth program for children ages 7 through 14, and a teen program for ages 15 to 19, Hands4Hope offers a variety of activities and programs to assist with.
We are in need of volunteer tutors and enrichment teachers, as well as administrative, marketing, fundraising and event planning assistant; however, we welcome volunteers with any skills and talents, as we can accommodate their specific interests in our diverse curriculum.
We kindly ask that you include us in your volunteer opportunity roster and inform students about our program. Also, if you could suggest any other ways for us to promote our organization on your campus and give your students the opportunity to serve with us, kindly let us know. Please feel free to call me personally any time.
We look forward to establishing an ongoing partnership with Hands4Hope LA and your campus.
