Dear UCLA Volunteer Services,
I am a scout in troop 36, doing a conservation project to restore the local wetlands because I love birds and the planet. I would be so grateful if you could attend and also share this email and SignUp Genius with your students to help me recruit volunteers. This project will help restore habitat to endangered birds, plants & fish, and help increase the wetland’s ability to absorb carbon. Thanks for passing this on.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Here’s an email you can send out.
Yours in Scouting,
Gyan (951)966-7874
Dear
Please check out this Sign Up Genius to volunteer to help the planet.
Here’s an opportunity to volunteer to put your hands to help with a project that will change the actual landscape of our local area back to wetlands. This is a scout’s conservation project to restore the Huntington Beach Wetlands Conservancy right across from PCH on select Saturday mornings. You will remove invasive plants and or plant new plants. Wetlands soak-up loads of carbon from the air and provide a place for endangered plants birds and fish to live when it has native plants.
Sign UP: The info which is also on the SignUpGenius.

9am -12pm Come early to grab your choice of gear before the best stuff is taken.
What Are We Doing?
The native endangered bird species in Huntington Beach need their special native plants to lay their eggs but the invasive plants have taken over. Please help remove them so their species came to an increase in numbers. We will also be planting plants that are native to the area. Come out to help these birds and watch for more future opportunities to complete this replanting task. ALSO, when the native plants grow in, wetlands absorb TONS of carbon from the air and lock it into the soil. Lets restore that natural carbon sucker!
