Big Sunday, California’s premiere resource for year-round community service and community-building, is enlisting the help of generous volunteers throughout California for the 17th Annual Big Sunday Weekend 2015 (BSW 2015). The weekend of altruistic activity kicks off May 1 – 3, 2015, and includes community service projects at varied locations throughout California. Volunteers can sign up to take part in hundreds of service projects—community and beach clean-ups; school and environmental beautification ventures; book, food and clothing drives; gardening, painting and renovation projects; festive celebrations for underserved individuals and much more! Projects that benefit at-risk youth, low-income families, the homeless/hungry, domestic violence victims, seniors, military personnel, veterans, shut-ins and many more will be available for volunteer sign-up at www.bigsunday.org!
r The public is also invited to experience and contribute to featured Big Sunday projects that include the Chill Out Express (a fun party bus that explores the city; the only price of admission is a donation of new socks or underwear for the needy). Community service buffs can also host a lemonade stand anywhere in America to help raise funds for Big Sunday’s Emergency Fund, which aids struggling individuals and families. For more details on all BSW2015 projects, please visit www.bigsunday.org or call 323-549-9944.
