Duration: Single Day
Date: May 19, 2019 • 8AM - 1PM
About the event:
On May 19th, UCLA students will be “Walking for Water” to simulate the journey many women, girls and families take to get access to clean water.
The event is from 8am-1pm on the Mesa Lawn at the UCLA Sunset Recreation Center
All proceeds benefit PCI (Project Concern International). PCI receives the highest rankings and is named a Classy Awards Winner, one of the 10 most innovative nonprofits and social enterprises of 2016, recognized as a Four-Star Charity by Charity Navigator, a Gold Participant by GuideStar, a BBB Accredited Charity and is part of the Clinton Global Initiative.
Because of you, families will gain access to clean water and sanitation education, providing a brighter future for generations to come.
For volunteers: We would greatly appreciate any volunteers to assist with the event! Volunteer tasks include directing event goers from the entrance of the Sunset Rec Center to the lawn, setting up for the event, cleaning up after the event, assisting with activities during the event, and working as companions to important guests. If you sign up, you will need to attend a very brief informational meeting about PCI and it’s mission.
