On Sunday, June 2, 2013, Woodley Park in Van Nuys will be the site for our first annual PAWSAPALOOZA, hosted by Wendy Burch of KTLA Channel 5 News. This community event includes both a Walk-A-Thon and a pet-themed Festival, both designed to help us raise funds to help pets and people in need.

As a means of information, PAWS/LA is an L.A.-based non-profit agency that assists the pets of thousands of low-income seniors and people disabled by life-threatening illness. To that end we provide a comprehensive range of services, including pet food and supplies, veterinary care; volunteer services for homebound animal guardians; grooming; etc. — all at no charge.

Because of the extent of your community involvement we are hoping that UCLA students will participate in PAWSAPALOOZA by forming a TEAM to walk and raise funds in support of the effort. We are encouraging all walkers to leash up their canine companions and bring them along to enjoy the fun!

Visit our Website and register your team starting 4/15/13. Download the pledge form and start getting those pledges. We are hoping that each student could get 25 $5.00 donations. Any questions please contact John Meeks, event coordinator
