PALS Programs an organization that provides a place for young adults with Down syndrome and their peers to have fun, grow as individuals, and build transformative friendships. PALS Programs puts on a number of events all year throughout the country including week long camps on college campuses (Camp PALS) and day or weekend events (PALS Adventures). Camp PALS is a week long event, providing teens and young adults with Down syndrome the opportunity to experience what it’s like to spend a week on a college campus, in the dorms, participating in activities on and off campus in the Los Angeles area. Volunteers can be counselors, paired one-on-one with a camper who has Down syndrome, staff members, not paired but participating in all events and supporting the needs of the directors, counselors, and campers, medical team, must be an RN, or media team, capturing the memories of camp through picture and video and creating a way for all those involved to remember this amazing week.

Volunteers are expected to be available for 8 days, which includes 2 days of counselor training and 6 days of camp.
