November 9th, 2018

Location: DeNeve Commons Building 351 Los Angeles California 90024
Duration: Multiple Days
First Day : Nov 9, 2018
Last Day: Nov 11, 2018

Hello,

My name is Josafat Rico Coronel and I am very excited to announce that for the academic year of 2018, PACURH will be held at UCLA for the first time since 1986!! PACURH is a residential life conference which allows for colleges in Australia, the Canadian provinces of British Columbia and the Yukon Territory, Universities in the US states of Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, and Hawaii to have the opportunity to visit UCLA on November 9-11th. I am enthusiastic to be one of the conference Volunteer Co-Chairs for PACURH( Pacific Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls). This conference shapes leaders on different campuses in the Pacific region and promotes intellectual, educational, cultural, physical, and social welfare. It prepares leaders to design and facilitate programs and informational services so that they can further assist students on their campuses by making them feel welcome and a part of the college community, and to extend this influence in the good name of the organization everywhere.

As a Volunteer Co-Chair, some of my duties and responsibilities are to coordinate with the other Co-Chairs and advisors to recruit and assign volunteers for the PACURH conference as well as helping with coordination and the event management details for volunteers during the conference.

For this conference to go as smoothly as possible, the PACURH chairs are seeking volunteers! Volunteering at the Pacific Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls conference allows students to have a non-recurring service opportunity to participate in the amazing programs and opportunities to interact with students form pacific affiliated schools such as UC Berkeley, University of Hawaii and many more.

Some task and duties for being a volunteer are:

Attend at least 2 volunteer shifts which are three-hour shifts.

Help with assisting the Co-chairs and their programming needs such as dining, philanthropy, checking in and out and other duties assigned on the date and time you choose

Be available to switch from one area to another. etc.

*Volunteering includes a fun and interactive Ice Cream Social during training.

* If you have any questions please email pacurh2018volunteer@gmail.com

* If you can not make it to training please reach out so we can coordinate in order to update you on what happened during training.

If you choose to be a volunteer, Training will take place on November 2nd from 5-7pm in Bradley 300
