ABOUT YOUNG STORYTELLERS
Young Storytellers (www.youngstorytellers.com) engages creativity through the art of storytelling. Using the timeless techniques of mentoring, collaboration, and performance, we provide public school students with an opportunity to write stories and see them brought to life on stage and film. Our mission is to inspire young people to discover the power of their own voice.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Young Storytellers Intern is someone who is interested in the visual arts such as film and television, has a knack for storytelling, and a passion for inspiring young people to discover the power of their own voice. Through coordination, mentoring, and mentor orientations, the Young Storytellers Intern will develop as an agent of change and personal growth in our community.
QUALIFICATIONS
Interns must be current college students (at four year or two year colleges). Interns must have access to a car. Interns will be required to complete an application and background check. Interns should have basic and working knowledge of Word/Excel/Google docs. Interns should have a passion for arts education and serving children in the community.
The intern will be required to pass a background check in order to work with students in our programs. The intern may also be required to take a TB test depending on the school district.

Time Details
Hours are flexible and can applied for school credit. Interns must commit about 8-10 hours per week. We also have weekly mentor volunteer positions available that is only a 1 hour/week commmitment.
