Duration: Single Day
Date: Jan 14, 2017
Mujeres de la Tierra’s Mission is to support women and families interested in becoming active participants and decision makers in issues affecting their neighborhoods – particularly social and environmental issues.
Mujeres de la Tierra, County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation, and the Baldwin Hills Conservancy invite you to help beautify Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 8 am – 1 pm.
Join the three organizations on this day of service in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.!
Food and T-Shirts will be provided, but you MUST complete the form (the form will be sent to you by the volunteer coordinator upon expressing interest). Your responses will help us ensure that we have enough food and shirts for everyone.
We encourage you to bring your own work gloves if you have them.
Beautification activities include:
- Weeding
- Mulching
- Planting
- Painting
- Picking up litter
Families are welcome! We do ask that any volunteers under the age of 18 come accompanied by an adult.
