Hands4HopeLA provides vulnerable families with youth ages 8+ from predominantly low-income, minority, single-parent households with the no-cost afterschool programs that extend the school day with arts, music, academics, homework assistance, tutoring, and healthy food and physical activities that help these children and their families prosper.
r We invite our Hands4Hope LA volunteers, to an initial interview/ orientation and site tour to familiarize them with the facility and its operations. (NB. If you are over 18 years old we conduct a $25 back ground check). We generally are flexible enough to choose a schedule that works with the volunteers time, but we request that they commit for an entire semester, as they build relationships and monitor the progress of the students they work with.
r We are currently seeking:
r Homework Tutors :- Monday -Thursday 2pm -4:30pm
r Programs Assistants :- Monday -Thursday ( anytime during the hours of 11am -7pm)
r (Including: Marketing & Social Media Management, Event Planning)
r Enrichment Teachers : – ( Piano, Guitar, Drums, Voice, Recording Studio, Dance, Zumba, Kickboxing,Cooking etc)

Time Details

We provide after school services to low income families in North Hollywood and neighboring communities. We provide home work assistance (2pm - 4:30pm) as well as enrichment classes in Performing Arts and Health and Wellness(4:30-5:30pm), then free play-fun time (5:30pm -7pm). Your support will make a lasting difference in the lives of these children as you influence and support them as a big brother or big sister.Also you will gain internship/ service learning/ community service hours that you can put toward your school credits. Talk about a win - win!
