Mentor Youth through Sports

March 20th, 2012

Volunteer Role & Responsibilities: Volunteer will coach and mentor youth at after-school programs and will be responsible for planning drills or activities for the sessions.

Sports offered: basketball, soccer, football, baseball, etc.

Time Commitment: 1-6 hours per week, M-F from 3:30-5:30pm

Requirements: Coaching Corps provides volunteers with coaching training and the after-school programs require background checks.

Benefits: Volunteers will have a fun and rewarding experience as coaches; they will get to share their love for sports with kids, teach life skills and improve the social and physical well being of at risk youth, and will gain valuable experience that can be showcased on their resumes.

Transportation: We will place coaches with no cars with other volunteers with cars.
