Good food, good friends, good karma! We are looking for large groups (40+) to help us sort books!
High quality literacy resources are a fundamental tool for reading acquisition – you need books to learn to read. Los Angeles ranks 49th in the country in it’s books per pupil ratio. BookEnds, a local literacy nonprofit, has received a generous donation of 100,000 children’s books that need to be sorted for quality and put into grade-level boxes for distribution to local high need schools and youth organizations.
We have a 4 hour minimum time requirement and pre-event sign up is necessary.
You must be able to bend and comfortably lift 25 pounds.
