At City Year, we’re working to bridge the gap in high-poverty communities between the support the students in the communities actually need and what their schools are designed to provide. In doing so, we’re helping to increase graduation rates across the country, and making an impact in the lives of the students we serve.

r Ten-month program working in partnership with a team and schools, to provide 1:1 support to students who are off track, transforming schools across the country. New hires will develop their leadership, data analysis, project management, and interpersonal communications skills. Benefits include a living stipend, health insurance, a $5700 scholarship, and access to graduate school discounts.

r Academic Support:
r Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring before, during and after school
r
r Attendance and Positive Behavior Encouragement:
r Lead energetic morning greetings, make attendance and positive phone calls home and lead mentor groups
r
r Community and School Improvements:
r Organize and lead activities, celebrations and projects to improve the community and school environment
