On April 16, 2015, the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) will host Blue Diamond, our inaugural LADF Gala, ushering in a new season of baseball and our steadfast commitment to meaningful community impact. Guests will enjoy a once in a lifetime, spectacular experience on the field at Dodger Stadium with a VIP reception at the top of the park overlooking the Los Angeles skyline. We are pleased to be honoring the Jackie Robinson Foundation – award recipient Rachel Robinson, the LA Fund for Public Education – award recipient Megan Chernin and the LA84 Foundation – award recipient Anita DeFrantz.
r Since 1995, LADF has provided significant support to the Los Angeles community. LADF will present our story and strategic vision, with a goal of raising funds to support our programs and charitable giving in our three pillars: Sports + Recreation, Education + Literacy and Health + Wellness.
r Guests will all bear witness to the work and impact LADF has in the community. The evening will feature a blue carpet VIP reception beginning at 5:30 pm, followed by a plated dinner, live musical performance by Aloe Blacc, fashion show by Ted Baker London, live & silent auction, and many surprises beginning at 7:10 pm.
r Volunteers will be needed throughout the day, starting at 9AM to help prepare for the Gala and throughout the evening. Tasks include:
r • Gift bag assembly
r • Tribute Journal placement (every other chair)
r • Silent Auction support
r • General appeal support
r • Guest Check-in
