The Academy Project is a 501c3 that works to provide services and supports for foster and homeless youth in south la to bring about positive life changes through community, education, and empowerment.
The Co-Op is an innovative after school program created for foster, homeless, and at-risk 4th and 5th graders located in South LA. We focus on physical fitness and character growth but we especially focus on having fun. We are looking for volunteers that can commit to a regular schedule: One day a week for one afternoon for 4 hours. We need help with the day to day: set-up, snack time, clean-up and general help with the kids. Most importantly we are looking for caring, reliable, consistent role-models who will support and encourage our youth.
We are looking for volunteers that want to help us provide an exceptional after school program for our youth. If you can be there once a week, Monday. Wednesday, OR Friday 2pm-6pm, and want to make a difference in a child’s life, we would love to hear from you!
