The Latino Resource Organization is a non-profit, community based, social service organization whose primary purpose is to improve the quality of life of low-income families through the services and resources we provide. Currently, we are in need of volunteers to assist with our Youth Program which provides academic enrichment through the form of tutoring, mentoring, and other activities. At this time our after-school program is seeking tutors to assist with homework and academic improvement for all age groups (Kindergarten thru High School). We are especially in need of tutors proficient in English Literacy, as many of our youth require additional assistance and support in areas of reading and language comprehension.
Individuals who share our desire to positively impact the lives of youth through academic enrichment are strongly encouraged to get involved in our program. If you are interested in this opportunity, please email me so that we can set up a time for you to come to the organization and fill out a volunteer application. Please be sure to include your full name, phone number, and days and times you are available. Thank you for your consideration. We look forward to meeting you!
