The LA Taco Festival is a fundraising event benefiting Jovenes, Inc., a nonprofit organization located in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles. Dedicated to solving the problem of youth homelessness, Jovenes is a place of personal transformation for homeless youth between the ages of 18-25. We provide everything from emergency shelter to permanent housing, helping youth get off the streets and into an apartment of their own.
The funds coming from the LA Taco Festival support Jovenes, Inc’s housing program and supportive services such as mental health, education and employment.
Since starting the LA Taco Festival, Jovenes has more than tripled in size and we have more units of housing than ever before. Tacos can help end youth homelessness!
As an LA Taco Festival Volunteer you would:
- Interact with LA Taco Fest attendees.
- Provide information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests.
- Watching and managing the lines for the taco stands and trucks.
- Providing information about Jovenes, Inc.
Volunteers get FREE tacos.
Different time slots, with a minimum of 2 hours. 8am - 8pm. Must attended orientation prior to the event.
