Purpose and Impact: As an LA Taco Festival Volunteer you will help Jovenes, Inc’s mission of empowering youth experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles by helping manage a successful LA Taco Festival that raises funds for youth experiencing homelessness. This individual will make festival attendees feel comfortable, be friendly, and providing information.
Activities, Tasks, and Responsibilities:
- Interact with LA Taco Fest attendees.
- Provide information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests.
- Watching and managing the lines for the taco stands and trucks.
- Providing information about Jovenes, Inc.
This position offers the volunteer a multitude of benefits including networking with others who are passionate about helping others and enhancing customer service skills while in a fast paced environment.
About the Festival: “The LA Taco Festival has grown to become one of LA’s most talked about summer events and one of the best taco events in Los Angeles. With over 30 different vendors from across Los Angeles, visitors will satisfy their cravings from a diverse lineup of options. In addition to being a fun and popular event, the LA Taco Festival is also connected to a great cause! The LA Taco Festival supports Jovenes, Inc., a non-profit that is a place of personal transformation for homeless youth. We are able to end the cycle of homelessness by helping youth get off the streets, obtain jobs, and move into permanent housing.”

We have several time slots available to volunteer. Each slot is two hours long and volunteers can sign for as many as they would like.
