Presented by the Congress on Racial Equality (CORE-CA), the Kingdom Day Parade provides a family friendly, fun and entertaining venue for the Los Angeles community to come together to celebrate the life, legacy, and dreams of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It is the largest celebration of its kind in the country, with over 250,000 spectators lining the parade route and over 2.5 million television viewers enjoying its live broadcast on KABC-7.
Want to make a difference as a Mobile Guide volunteer?
As a Mobile Guide Volunteer, you will be able to:
Have a unique role by actually marching in the Parade, and guiding a parade participant through the route. You will be responsible for communicating with unit leaders on when to go. You also help maintain 10′ distance between your unit and the unit in front of you. Additionally, you will help maintain limited time in front of camera.
