L.A. Kitchen transforms reclaimed fruits and vegetables into healthy meals that are distributed to homeless shelters, after-school programs and senior sites. This is L.A. Kitchen’s last summer Disco Chop event inviting volunteers to a food prep / chopping party where we (safely) combine knives and a DJ! (And possibly even disco balls!) Come help us fight food waste and promote healthy eating while enjoying some tunes and free beer (21+)!
Session start times: 4:30pm and 5:30pm. All shifts end at 7:30pm. We encourage volunteers to arrange their start time to begin with an orientation. Please sign up for the start time that suits you best when you register.
