L.A. Cash for College – Super Saturday
January 30, 2016
Time: TBA, between 8am and 5pm
Location: TBA, locations across Los Angeles
On Super Saturday, January 30th, L.A. Cash for College will coordinate dozens of simultaneous financial aid completion workshops to take place across 40 high school sites in Los Angeles. These workshops provide FREE individualized assistance to high school seniors and their parents as they complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), California Dream Act application, and/or Cal Grant GPA verification form.
As current college students, you understand how intimidating the FAFSA can be. By volunteering on Super Saturday, you can help students obtain the financial aid they need to pursue their college dreams. Last year’s volunteers helped us serve more than 7,100 students, leading to over $35 million in financial aid dollars!
Volunteers are needed in two roles: FORMS ASSISTANTS and GENERAL VOLUNTEERS.

Forms Assistants will be trained on financial aid forms prior to Super Saturday. Trainings will be offered via webinar and in person. Multiple training dates will be available in January 2016. Once trained, Forms Assistants will be assigned to a specific school location, where they will help answer students’ general questions about financial aid forms.
General Assistants will provide administrative support to workshop sites, such as help with set-up, registration, clean up, and other miscellaneous tasks. No prior training is required.
