KIDS OCEAN DAY Adopt-A-Beach Clean-Up is at Dockweiler State Beach on Thursday, May 14, 2015, for the 22nd year. Thousands of elementary students are brought together for a beach clean-up and a kid-formed Aerial Art message that will say UNITE for the OCEAN. The kids will also form 60 individual FISH on the beach for a School of Fish.

r When: Wednesday, May 13, 2015 from 2:00pm – 6:00pm (Aerial Art set up)

r Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 7:00am – 1:30pm (Event day-1st shift)

r 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm (Event day- 2nd shift)

r Volunteer Roles and Duties:
r
r Option #1:Fish Makers-
r May 13th from 2pm-6pm (Aerial Art set up)
r May 14th from 7:00am-1:30pm
r 15 volunteers that are interested in working directly with the aerial art and the artist.
r May 2nd from 11am-2pm: orientation (required)
r
r Option #2: Kid Action Leaders:
r 60 volunteers for event day from 7:00am-1:30pm will greet, guide and mentor students throughout the day. Volunteers will meet students as they arrive in the parking lot and lead them through the clean up and to the aerial art. Volunteers will be given instructions to guide the kids into a simple yoga position and a moment of silence for the ocean and fish and to form their aerial art fish. Orientation for Fish Makers and 1st shift volunteers will start at 7:30am on event day.

r Option #3, Clean up crew:
r 10 volunteers from 1:00pm-5:00pm will help clean up and put all the supplies back into storage. You will be traveling from the event site to a different location. Having your own transportation is required.
