My Friend’s Place is a nonprofit drop-in resource center in Hollywood offering a comprehensive continuum of care, health, educational, and therapeutic services to nearly 1,500 youth experiencing homelessness and their children each year.
Special Event – Oct. 1
Jimmy Kimmel Live will be hosting a huge, one-day memorabilia yard sale, with all proceeds benefitting My Friend’s Place! This event will be announced on the show in the coming week, open to the public, with expected attendance in the thousands. The event will also be filmed to air at a later date.
We are in need of volunteers to help run the event on Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Jimmy Kimmel Live studio on Hollywood Boulevard.
We are looking for volunteers to help with tasks including checkout, negotiating prices with guests, pack up, clean up and other event support.
Volunteers will be trained during the first 30 mins of their shift. A My Friend’s Place T-shirt, meal and validated parking at the Hollywood & Highland complex is included for volunteers.
Volunteer shifts for Saturday, Oct.1 are as follows:
11:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
3:30 p.m.-8 p.m.
Additionally we will need a couple volunteers Friday, Sep. 30 at 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. to assist with setup and pricing of items
