Mountains Restoration Trust is a land trust in the Santa Monica Mountains. We are continually working with our partners and the local community to expand our nature preserves in order to protect the unique biodiversity of the Santa Monica Mountains. We are committed to restoring degraded lands for future generations of wildlife, plants and people.
Mountains Restoration Trust is working to restore and replant the hillsides around Dry Canyon Creek and Headwaters Corner after the fire that swept through the hills of Calabasas last summer. Please come help us remove invasive plant species and weeds, as well as plant native trees and shrubs to restore the hills to their former glory! Join us as we work to remove these invasive plants and replace them with native trees and shrubs. Help plant oaks, control invasive species, and learn about the unique native annuals we are working to protect and the mechanisms they use to recover from fire.
Time Details
Mountains Restoration Trust is operational from 8am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. For weekend volunteers, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator with time requests.
With a few days notice, we're happy to accommodate individuals and small groups who would like to come help us!
