This volunteer opportunity is presented by the Los Angeles Food Policy Council’s Community Market Conversion program. The LAFPC is a collaborative network working to make Southern California a good food region for everyone — where food is healthy, affordable, fair and sustainable. More information on our website below!
The Los Angeles Food Policy Council will be holding a community development and business owner training workshop in March, and we’re hoping that a few of your more advanced students would be interested in volunteering as interpreters for community members at the event.
This is a great opportunity for students to get involved in community work in LA, and learn a bit about food equity while practicing their language skills with native speakers. The LAFPC would be happy to offer letters certifying completion of volunteer work to interested students as well.
Please feel free to forward this call for volunteers to students you know, bilingual staff you work with, or any interested faculty.
