Duration: Single Day
Date: Jun 2, 2016
At Citizens of the World Charter School – Silver Lake Campus, Junior Achievement is bringing our hands-on curriculum to 100 3rd grade students and need 4-8 volunteers who are interested in teaching and inspiring elementary students for ONE SCHOOL DAY! You will be trained and given material prior to the day. All you need to do is briefly prep before you get into the classroom. The teacher will be in the classroom with you for the entire day, so you do not have to have prior experience in the classroom or working with students.
Junior Achievement of Southern California is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating students about financial literacy, workforce readiness, and entrepreneurship. We offer curriculum for grades K – 12, which aligns with Common Core Standards for Math, English and Language Arts. JA curriculum is delivered by volunteers or parents. JA volunteers are not only trained and prepared to teach the JA curriculum to students, but they are also encouraged to share their life and work experience with the students to bring the curriculum to life. Every year, we prepare and inspire over 85,000 students to succeed in the global economy.
